Queer Magic: Arousing Our Hearts
A Gathering at Breitenbush Hot Springs Resort

Be part of Queer Magic, an expansive, Radical Faerie-rooted community based in Portland. For this gathering, we’ll have the whole Breitenbush Hot Springs Resort to ourselves!
While initially centered on gay men, the global Radical Faerie movement has grown to include diverse gender identities and sexual orientations. The Queer Magic community began in Portland in 2006 as a more inclusive expression within Radical Faerie traditions and has been weaving community ever since. Faerie traditions like heart circle, subject+subject consciousness, nature spirituality, and chaos magic help shape our culture.
Arousing Our Hearts is an invitation to awaken, enliven, and open ourselves to connection, desire, play, tenderness, grief, creativity, and the magic that emerges when we come together.
We gather to arouse our hearts (and other parts), weaving community through ritual, nature, play, creativity, and the many expressions of Faerie magic.
Who
The Queer Magic community and our friends.
Our community includes many kinds of Queer folx: faggots, dykes, Two-Spirits, studs, sapphics, bisexuals, asexuals, trans folx, drag queens, non-binary and gender-nonconforming folx, sacred clowns, and those who walk between identities.
This will be a pangender, multigenerational (18+) gathering rooted in Radical Faerie traditions. Expect to meet people from different Queer paths, abilities, experiences, identities, and ages.
What
A community gathering in the beautiful natural setting of Breitenbush Hot Springs Resort.
Faerie gatherings are co-created. There will be opportunities for ritual, play, nature, creativity, conversation, celebration, and embodied connection. Bring your dreams, desires, and ideas to share!
Our gathering celebrates that all expressions of Queerness are magical! Let’s call in appreciation for gender and sexuality expressions that aren’t our own. Let’s learn about each other and revel in our diversity!

Note on community weaving
If you’ve never attended a Faerie gathering or Queer Magic event before, we ask that you attend an event before registering so you can get a sense of the vibes and see if this community feels right for you.
We’ll also offer opportunities to connect through online events before the gathering, especially for those joining us from outside the Portland metro area.
